Since being launched in early 2017, Shergold Guitars have picked up an impressive list of awards including being voted ‘The UK’s Best Electric Guitar 2017’ (SM01-SD Thru-Dirty Blonde) and received widespread recognition throughout the musical instrument industry.
The brainchild of Patrick James Eggle, who has been designing and building guitars for nearly 40 years, it is his vision that you are seeing in this resurrected brand; originally Shergold guitars and basses were the weapons of choice of groups such as Genesis, Joy Division and New Order in the seventies and eighties, before disappearing. Today, Shergold Guitars are again designed in the UK and handmade in their workshops in Indonesia. They are designed to capture the essence of British rock ‘n’ roll, updated for the 21st century.
The latest Shergold guitars have been championed by a host of bands and artists and can be seen on stages around the world in the hands of The Sherlocks, We Were Promised Jetpacks, God Damn, Fickle Friends and The Blinders to name but a few.
