Guitar ER, based in the West Midlands and run by Ian Harrison offer a range of services to get your guitar – electric, acoustic or bass – in tip top playing condition.

Ian Harrison has some 40 years experience in light guitar repairs and setting up guitars and has recently completed the GTC courses in Pro Guitar Setups and Guitar Building held at one of the UK’s few authorised Gibson guitar warranty repair centres and at the home of the stunning James Collins Guitars.

He has played for a similar amount of time in bands and solo and therefore appreciates the importance of using a well set up, serviced & reliable instrument, this coupled with his engineering background and painful attention to detail contributes towards the quality always aimed for in each instrument that passes through the workshop.

Finally being a keen player he can easily assess each instrument when the work is complete – he feels that sometimes, particularly with older instruments, the manufacturers specification we often aim to achieve can be enhanced by actually playing and carefully listening.
