08 Aug Ryan Gibson Guitars
Ryan Gibson, based in Falkirk, Scotland makes classical guitars using traditional Spanish construction techniques. All his guitars are made to the individual requirements of the customer including nut sizes, string spacing at the bridge, scale length and neck shape.
Guitar Construction
Traditional Spanish design is at the heart of his classical guitars, with the work of Torres and his contemporaries having a great influence on his builds, where he uses the same methods and materials that have been passed down for generations. His classical guitars are built for the most part using hot hide glue.
Tonewoods
Ryan uses the finest well-seasoned quarter sawn timber, fundamental to building a stable instrument. Woods are carefully selected for the type of guitar to be made, the players playing style and tastes as well as the aesthetic qualities.
