14 Jan Patrick James Eggle
In the 30 odd years since Patrick James Eggle built his first guitar at school he has gained wide experience of designing, building and repairing all types and styles of guitar. In the early nineties he managed the production of solid body guitars at the Eggle company in Coventry, but by 1994 he had left the company to work alone, filling his time with repairs and building bespoke stringed instruments.
He moved to the US shortly afterwards, returning in 2005 to open new purpose built workshops in Oswestry to produce acoustic guitars, which have a fine reputation for quality and tone.
A couple of years ago he stopped making acoustics and moved into the custom electric field again, now producing a range of core models which have gained wide acclaim.
These include the Macon Single Cut, Macon Junior, The ‘96’-Vintage and The ‘96’-Contemporary, all using the lightest, most resonant and visually stunning tone woods available, with micro thin finishes, peerless hardware and hand wound pickups. Limited production ensures closest possible attention to detail is paid, creating truly unique and visually stunning instruments every time.
