Guild’s New Starfires!

New editions to the Starfire family

Guild’s new Starfires feature:

Starfire VI Special

According to Guild the Starfire VI Special has it all “premium materials, top of the line inlays, and an authentic 1960s design that honours the Starfire’s 60 year heritage while giving today’s players some modern performance enhancements.

New for 2023, the “Special” trim package was previously only available on Guild’s upscale Manhattan models, and brings aesthetic upgrades in its all new Kingswood Green metallic finish, DeArmond Dynasonic pickups, and premium gold hardware.”

Starfire I DC

The Starfire I DC (double-cut) California Burst offers a modern build with classic feel and true vintage tones.

Here’s what Guild say about it: “Featuring an elegantly arched Mahogany top, back, and sides with a Mahogany centre block for reduced feedback and clear sustain, the Starfire I tone woods are versatile across music genres, from jangly cleans to fat overdriven tones.

The Starfire I is powered by Guild HB-2 Alnico humbuckers in the neck and bridge, equipped with push-pull coil splitting to allow for singing, single coil tones from either pickup.

New for 2023, the California Burst finish compliments the mahogany body with subtle bursting up the neck and headstock in classic Guild 60’s fashion.

Also available in Cherry Red, Vintage Walnut, Pelham Blue, and Emerald Green.”

Starfire III

“Tailored for the rock ‘n’ roll guitarist who craves both eye-catching aesthetics and unparalleled tonal versatility, the Starfire III features an arched Maple top, back and sides with an extra-thin hollow body design, resonates like a beast, and infuses every strum with a raw intensity that demands attention.

With a nod to the early ’60s, this classic favourite makes a triumphant return, embodying the rebellious spirit and electrifying energy of the era.

The single Florentine cutaway makes shredding a breeze while the bound Ebony fingerboard adds classic allure.

Additional features include Grover Sta-Tite open-gear 18:1 tuners, Dearmond Dynasonic pickups and a Guild Vibrato Tailpiece(GVT).”
