Three Gibson Theodore electric guitars

Gibson Theodore Standard

It’s back-the Gibson Theodore Standard

Developed from original drawings discovered in the Gibson Archives, the Gibson Theodore Standard is based on a guitar design sketched in 1957. 67 years later, we get the Theodore Standard.

It was previously available only as a limited edition Gibson Custom model that quickly sold out in 2022 as part of the Gibson Archive Collection.

Specs

The Gibson Theodore Standard features:

  • a mahogany body, scimitar headstock with Grover® Mini Rotomatic® tuners
  • double Florentine cutaways that provide unimpeded access to all 22 frets
  • rosewood-capped, SlimTaper™ mahogany neck
  • powerful ‘57 Classic™ and ‘57 Classic Plus humbucker™ pickups

The Theodore Standard has effortless sustain and a rich diversity of tones. Like all Gibson electrics, whilst it was sketched in the 1950s, the Theodore Standard is still fresh and modern today.

Finishes include Antique Natural, Vintage Cherry, and Ebony.

A hardshell case is also included.
