Sigma Guitars was created in 1970 by Martin Guitars to produce a range of inexpensive acoustics to compete with the increasing number of imported guitars from the Far East. Consequently, their range ‘mirrors’ that of Martin Guitars’ own range although Sigma was closed by them in 2007 and relaunched as a separate company in China in 2011. Their guitars have had rave reviews for sound and quality at their price point and represent great value for money, being superbly built instruments.

A Dreadnought sized guitar finished with a Solid Sitka Spruce top and Madagascar Rosewood on the back and sides, this offering from Sigma is a great guitar for the all-round player. 

The Sigma DMR-4 features loads of luxurious appointments such as gold tuning machines and abalone rosette and position inlays. The body and neck have multiple binding and the headstock is capped with Madagascan Rosewood too.

The acoustic tone from the Sigma DMR-4 is big and bold thanks to its solid wood top and a bone nut and saddle. It lends itself well for strumming and fingerpicking duties. The DMR4 features a slim Mahogany neck with a narrow 43mm nut width making it a very comfortable and easy guitar to play.
