A Real Heavyweight

Both in price  – £10,999 to you – and weight no doubt, although Gibson haven’t put that on the spec apart from saying it is made from ‘lightweight’ solid mahogany. Yes, this is the limited edition – only 125 will be made – Slash 1966 EDS-1275 Doubleneck signature model launched by Gibson.

The original was purchased by Slash in 1990 and used extensively for composing and recording and this is a faithful reproduction, “constructed and aged by the skilled craftspeople of the Custom Shop in Nashville, TN”.

Each of the 125 will be hand-signed by Slash and include a vintage replica hardshell case, a custom Slash concho guitar strap and a Certificate of Authenticity. It certainly brings back memories of the rock Gods of the 70’s who wielded these axes on stage, producing some iconic music. Not sure their backs could take it nowadays though!

Looks a fantastic guitar – check out the Gibson website: Gibson
